What does a winning mindset look like to you?

Personal development gurus are always taking about a winning mindset. What does that look like for a MomMe?

Deciding how your day will unfold before you even leave for the office (even if it’s just down the hall) has a powerful impact on the type of day you will experience.

While our office isn’t a physical place we have to visit as moms most times, the moment we get up and our brain kicks into gear we determine how our day is going to go.

The winners in life think constantly in terms of I can, I will, and I am. Losers, on the other hand, concentrate their waking thoughts on what they should have or would have done, or what they can’t do.

Lately I’ve been using my consistent motivating word for the year to determine my schedule. By making my day as consistent as possible I know I’m getting the work done for the day so I can enjoy the luxury I have in being a stay at home mom.

Starting today, I encourage you to say these statements today and see what you can come up with:

  • I can…
  • I will…
  • I am…

Here are mine:

  • I can be consistent today.
  • I will get my workout done.
  • I am accomplishing my goals.

I’m Patty Gordon, a 40+ year old school lunch lady married to a crane mechanic. Our days are anything but normal as he works “construction worker hours” and I take care of our two elementary school aged kids, Chihuahua Mr Biggs, Pitbull Cali, and French Bulldog MooMoo. I blogged a few years ago under different names but have landed with the 365MomMe.com name this time around. The term 365MomMe comes from the idea that I’m a mom and I’m me 365 days a year. Kids call me Mommy but I see myself as MomMe.

  1. For me, having a mindset that is clear about the energy available to me is crucial for reaching my goals. I am lately reminding myself that 1) I have energy and that 2) if I only put the necessary work in, I will be able to reach the goal. Mindset is everything!
