Contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations

Earlier this year I wrote Open The Gates For Personal Development As A MomMe By Using Enneagrams in September.

Personal development covers activities that improve awareness and identity, develop talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employability, enhance the quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations. Personal development takes place over the course of a person’s entire life.

If you’re looking for more personal development information you can read the following three books:

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear — Read this earlier this year and found it fascinating about how little changes in our habits come to have big effects on our lives.
  • Outliers The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell — Read this a few years ago but talks about professional sports stars and how they get to be professionals versus the every day person.
  • Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress Free Productivity by David Allen — I have this one on my reading list. I’ve heard great things about his GTD list management system and want to read more about it to see if it’s something I should be doing in my own life.

What books are you reading or listening to that are helping you improve yourself daily? Let me know. I’d love to explore more personal development subject areas.

I’m Patty Gordon, a 40+ year old school lunch lady married to a crane mechanic. Our days are anything but normal as he works “construction worker hours” and I take care of our two elementary school aged kids, Chihuahua Mr Biggs, Pitbull Cali, and French Bulldog MooMoo. I blogged a few years ago under different names but have landed with the 365MomMe.com name this time around. The term 365MomMe comes from the idea that I’m a mom and I’m me 365 days a year. Kids call me Mommy but I see myself as MomMe.
