Some reasons why you need to read MomMe blogs on the regular

This morning I ran across a post on Huff Post called The 5 Secret Reasons Why Your Friend Wants You To Read Her Blog. While they were a little bit on the fluffy side as to the reasons why you should be reading friend’s blogs, it did bring up a few good points.

Often times bloggers live a double life, not in a bad way.

A forum to express ourselves is something that most people need. I know from years of marriage that my husband is not into reading blogs about mom topics. I get it. Education and toddler advice just isn’t his thing, but the fact that I have the outlet to express those thoughts and feelings is a good thing.

In some more extreme cases MomMe writer’s could be pouring out their soul. It seems silly to tell strangers about all your deepest thoughts and feelings, but sometimes throwing out to the anonymous world is sometimes easier than telling a friend.

My list for reading MomMe blogs is simple

  • I want to keep up with what’s trending in the motherhood realm.
  • I like to be entertained.
  • I like to learn from mothers who are my age and with my aged kids.
  • I like to be a part of the MomMe community.

Got a MomMe blog or any other kind of blog you want me to read? Post a link and I’ll check it out!

I’m Patty Gordon, a 40+ year old school lunch lady married to a crane mechanic. Our days are anything but normal as he works “construction worker hours” and I take care of our two elementary school aged kids, Chihuahua Mr Biggs, Pitbull Cali, and French Bulldog MooMoo. I blogged a few years ago under different names but have landed with the 365MomMe.com name this time around. The term 365MomMe comes from the idea that I’m a mom and I’m me 365 days a year. Kids call me Mommy but I see myself as MomMe.
