Make a summer to do list with your kids to get an idea of the things your kids want to do this summer.
Pick a time to plan out your week every week. Consistent is my word for this year and if you start a planning habit and revisit your plans consistently you can make the most of your time and energy.
An added tip to go along with your google calendar skills is to schedule driving times when working on your calendar. Planning that time into your day will let you know how much time you really have to get from one place to another.
Meal planning is something you can do to save time and money. Setting a crockpot up on busy days or merely picking up items while you’re out picking up or dropping off kids from activities can save a lot of time and energy.
Keep a book handy for car rides. Reading is something I’m trying to encourage my kids to do this summer. This is a great time to limit screen time and put books back into the hands of your kiddos.
I’m Patty Gordon, a 40+ year old school lunch lady married to a crane mechanic. Our days are anything but normal as he works “construction worker hours” and I take care of our two elementary school aged kids, Chihuahua Mr Biggs, Pitbull Cali, and French Bulldog MooMoo.
I blogged a few years ago under different names but have landed with the 365MomMe.com name this time around.
The term 365MomMe comes from the idea that I’m a mom and I’m me 365 days a year. Kids call me Mommy but I see myself as MomMe.
