Private School Here We Come

This week I turned in applications for private school. I’ve almost was a huge supporter of public school but the time has come to take more control of my kids education.

I wish I didn’t have to make that choice.

Next year my son would have gotten one of our favorite teachers at our school but there is no guarantee that they’d be in a school classroom. That fact overrides any preference I have as far as teachers go.

It’ll be a new year with new rules and new faces but also something new. It’ll be the first time since March 2020 that my kids will step foot in a classroom as a student.

What does your school experience look like right now? Are you making changes or are you waiting it out?

I’m Patty Gordon, a 40+ year old school lunch lady married to a crane mechanic. Our days are anything but normal as he works “construction worker hours” and I take care of our two elementary school aged kids, Chihuahua Mr Biggs, Pitbull Cali, and French Bulldog MooMoo. I blogged a few years ago under different names but have landed with the 365MomMe.com name this time around. The term 365MomMe comes from the idea that I’m a mom and I’m me 365 days a year. Kids call me Mommy but I see myself as MomMe.

  1. We are thinking of private school for my oldest for sport reasons. Right now he attends school 2 days a week and 3 days home. My other son attends school 4 days and one day home as he has special needs. I have been seeing on the news how many states and even other towns/cities here in MA are still fully remote. I am lucky my kids are able to attend a few days at least. Good for you taking the steps necessary for your kids to learn inside the classroom. It is difficult learning just at home. It’s not for everyone. Good luck!
