Recently I’ve become obsessed with Good Notes 5 on my ipad. I’ve made digital planners and now am diving into doing more journaling which I plan to share here on the blog in the form of Daily Thoughts.
I realize though that I’m totally inconsistent even when I mean to not be. I’m going to work on getting more blog posts together in the coming months in the form of educational posts. I’ve decided that’s where my niche is, whether it’s MomMe education or kid education.
For now I’m going to share what I’m learning every day.
My goals for 2021 are to:
- Read 36 books throughout the year. This comes down to 3 a month which sounds like a ton, but audiobooks are my friends and I can read through one in a week or so.
- Listen to 365 podcasts this year. I have a feeling that the Quote of the Day by Sean Cruxton will be my biggest source of these since they are short concise pieces that are informative and entertaining. (Again, listening while I work on other things is the only way to accomplish this.)
- I want to do 300 workouts this year. Sounds ambitious, but I have 50 lbs to lose before New Years Even 2021 and the only want to do that is to workout more consistently. I gave myself some wiggle room since some days it might be impossible to get in a workout, but the idea is that if I do it daily I should be able to smash my set goal and get in 365.
So where does the daily journaling come in?

I’m going to keep a 5 year journal! If you haven’t seen one it’s a notebook with pages for each day of the year. None of them are assigned to a day of the week so on every December 1st I’ll write a small paragraph so I can remember what happened that day. I’ve seen guided ones for this project and if I get stuck I might help myself by using a prompt, but really I hope to just keep it free flowing. I’ve been doing this consistently since November 11th! It’s been great to decompress at the end of the day by doing this.
If you’re a Good Notes 5 user, or even like to use pdfs on another program let me know and I’ll think about how to go about sharing the notebook I made. Part of me eventually wants to open up a digital shop with these in them, but I need a little more design work before they will be ready.
I just found out that the kids are getting computers from the school. I’ll have computer access more soon! That means easier ways to get things online.
