Decoding Dyslexia

Once you do have a diagnosis it seems increasingly difficult to find real help for your child in the public school system. I don’t want to hate on public school because I know things can be made to be very difficult when they shouldn’t be, but if you need help navigating getting help for your student please make sure to visit Decoding Dyslexia.

There are many state level groups for this organization. We are in California and this is our state’s website: https://decodingdyslexiaca.org/

A great place for how to help your student is the page What can we do to Solve the Puzzle? Information is your best ammunition for helping your child…

I’m Patty Gordon, a 40+ year old school lunch lady married to a crane mechanic. Our days are anything but normal as he works “construction worker hours” and I take care of our two elementary school aged kids, Chihuahua Mr Biggs, Pitbull Cali, and French Bulldog MooMoo. I blogged a few years ago under different names but have landed with the 365MomMe.com name this time around. The term 365MomMe comes from the idea that I’m a mom and I’m me 365 days a year. Kids call me Mommy but I see myself as MomMe.
