I want to try for 365

I’ve jumped full steam ahead into planning out my next few months of workouts. After being stuck mentally and physically in this hibernation mode that seems to have caught a lot of us off guard during quarantine, I’m taking a stand and I’m making a plan.

Step one is to find an activity tracker where I can cross off my workouts. I’ve almost finished 100 workouts since quarantine started and I hope to finish at least 300 next year. I want to try for 365, but I think 300 is more reasonable considering no one knows what next year will look like.

And I’m not counting days of working out, but actual workouts. So today I did a 30 minute cardio routine from 21 day fix as well as ran my mile for the day. I count that as 2 workouts. I think that way I can double up on some days and skip others when needed but not get discouraged in the process.

Do you have any plans coming up soon? Or are you a fly by the seat of your pants kind of person?

I always plan everything. I like to know what I have planned for the upcoming week etc. Working out at the moment is difficult for me due to a work accident and awaiting surgery on my knee. It’s great you plan your work outs etc. Thank you for sharing.

Those are some amazing workout goals and I love it! I just started working out again. I was jogging and doing some body weight exercises. I really got burnt out and had a lot of back pain. Now I have been weight lifting and surprisingly I feel better! Everyone has their own favorite and I never thought that lifting weights would be mine lol. Love the post. Thanks for sharing!

I used to do lots of weights when I played college basketball in my 20s but now I’m lucky to be able to get through a 5lbs routine!

In 2013 I started running and even did a half marathon. Now I’m working on a mile a day. Mostly my time is what limits me from working out. If I had more time I’m sure I’d do more.

Hey Patty, for my exercise regime, I am using the down dog app for yoga and HIIT. It is an app that randomizes your workout for the day, and you get to choose the level of intensity, focus area, and even the ‘instructor’. The duration of each set and the recovery time between each set can also be customized. Within the app, I can also refer to my history to see how much I have done ever since I started using the app. That’s how I keep track of my past exercise record I guess!

I don’t have a plan, but I do have an internalized schedule that propels me through the days and weeks.

Thanks for sharing, all the best!

A plan, no matter the shape or form is always something that helps! That’s good that you find something to do consistently and with an app I’m sure it’s been easier to keep at it during the pandemic! Good luck with future workouts! 🙂
