Earlier this year I fell in love with Todoist. I wrote a blog post about how I used it for my daily cleaning routine around the house: How A To Do List Saved My Sanity.
Right now my life is all about distance learning and I’m loving the EPIC app/ website. http://getepic.com
This is a reading app that helps kids find books to read that are age appropriate. It features audiobooks and “Read to Me” books so that every level of reading is covered. I think the reading level goes up to 5th grade so most elementary grades are covered.
My son loves the books on sports and read a few this week about dirtbikes and NASCAR and other subjects that interest him while also work within the confines of the school curriculum.
This is an app with a membership fee, but I believe it’s worth it. The school pays for a membership for my kids so they have unlimited access, but the free version seems to be 2 hours a week for free which for a kindergarten through 2nd grade level student comes out to about 20 minutes or so a day of reading.
Many of these books are on the Accelerated Reader program as well so kids can earn their reading points by taking their tests on that program using the books they read through epic.
